This rare and highly limited rum release showcases a distinctive aging journey. Distilled in Panama in 2004 using a continuous still, the spirit began its life in refill bourbon barrels, spending 10 years maturing in the heat of Panama before being transferred to cooler climates in the UK and Ireland for an additional six years. In 2020, part of the original cask was bottled, while the rest was re-casked into three smaller barrels previously seasoned with Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, and Vin Santo wines.
The version presented here underwent finishing in a Vin Santo cask, resulting in a spirit of great depth and character. Over time, its natural strength gradually declined—from 62% in 2020, to 57% in 2022, and finally to 52% by 2025. Owing to the low cask yield, this bottling is among the most limited in the entire series.
